Beauty Therapy

Beauty therapists work in the commercial sector, typically in beauty salons, hairdressing salons and spas, offering specialist services, treatments and advice for clients’ skin, nails, body care, massage and make-up. The beauty therapist may specialise, for example in manicure, pedicure or skin care. Work organisation and management, professional attitude, client care and relationships are the universal attributes of an outstanding beauty therapist.

Hairdressing

A hairdresser cuts and styles clients’ hair. He or she uses a range of well-developed sales, consultation and technical skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of services to clients, including wet and dry shampooing, cutting, colouring, perming, styling, and hair care advice.

Visual Merchandising

Visual merchandisers design and set up visual displays of products or services in a variety of retail settings, including shop windows. They aim to attract the attention of customers with original, creative displays showcasing new products, lines and promotional items. Visual merchandisers do more than simply dress mannequins. They’re often the masterminds behind intriguing window displays, elaborate holiday decorations and in-store displays in department stores, boutiques and other retail establishments. Their visual creativity and design abilities enable them to create displays that are intriguing and appealing to customers.
