We are responsible for constructing all the medium and low voltage electricity network infrastructure in the country and operating and maintaining this infrastructure, owned by ESB. The electricity distribution network includes all distribution stations, overhead electricity lines, poles and underground cables. Customer service is also extremely important here at ESB Networks, it is at the heart of everything we do.
ESB Networks is now recruiting for applicants as part of their Apprentice Electrician/Network Technician programme, to work with Ireland's electricity network. It's a brilliant opportunity to obtain a world-class qualification that gives you real-world experience of working on a national power network. The Apprenticeship programme is open to male and female applicants over the age of 16. Through the programme ESB Networks will provide all the support one would need to develop their skills and to start their career as a Network Technician.
ESB Networks will provide apprentices with the experience, the skills and the world class qualifications they need to succeed as an Electrician/Network Technician. It is a 4 year paid programme that uses practical learning on site with a qualified Network Technician along with class room based learning. They will operate in a team environment and will work indoors and outdoors. After 4 years they will leave with an internationally recognised qualification QQI advanced level 6 Electrical trade certificate.
