Manufacturing Engineering

Metal Fabrication

For the construction metal worker, that means being able to understand engineering drawings and then building the actual structure accurately. Steel structures are crucial in all areas of construction, from the buildings themselves to the tower cranes needed to assemble them.

Sheetmetal Work

The sheet metal trade is one of the most varied of all trades. Sheet metal workers’ skills include drawing interpretation, job planning, marking out, geometric development, radial line and triangulation, cutting and notching, forming and shaping, joining seams, assembly and finishes.

Mechatronics

Mechatronic technicians are responsible for manufacturing products we use in everyday life, from a can of baked beans to a high-performance car. It is considered to be a multidisciplinary field of engineering encompassing electrical and mechanical competencies.

Polymechanics and Automation

Polymechanics technicians need a wide range of skills, both producing and installing parts for production machinery and equipment. They require skills in logic and automation control and the related basic electrical and circuitry work associated with these areas of production. They need to diagnose and solve problems and offer advice on a wide range of issues in many different industries.

Welding

Welding is the process of fusing parent materials, usually metals, with a filler material and creating a joint between the pieces. Welding is a highly respected trade with countless applications in many industries, including the automotive industry, building construction, pipelines, mining, farming and general fabrication of everyday household items.
