Company Description
SIMI (Society of the Irish Motor Industry) is the official voice of the motor industry in Ireland. We are a member's organisation which consists of Dealers, Repairers, Vehicle Distributors, Wholesalers, Retailers, Vehicle Testers and many more important operators within the industry in Ireland. Our role is to represent the views of the motor industry by campaigning to the Government, state bodies, the media and the motoring public.
SIMI is an Industry body that represents over 1200 Member Companies and we are the only such organisation in Ireland. Our role is to represent the views of the motor industry by campaigning to the Government, state bodies, the media and the motoring public. All members of SIMI are required to follow our code of ethics in their business practices and to maintain a high standard of customer service. Motorists should look for the SIMI logo for reassurance.
Our member companies are located in over 400 towns and cities across Ireland. Total employment within the Motor Industry, according to the latest CSO figures, is 39,400.
Apprenticeship Programmes:
We assist our members in understanding the recruitment process and provide them with information on apprenticeships. We also promote apprenticeships in the Industry and to the public via our website which has a dedicated Careers page. We liaise with SOLAS, the body responsible for running the Apprenticeship programmes with regards to the curriculum for the Motor Family of Trades.
