Company Description
Accounting Technicians Ireland is the leading professional body for accounting technicians on the island of Ireland. We educate, support and represent over 10,000 people working in the profession. Established in 1983, we pride ourselves on providing an internationally recognised business qualification and on promoting the highest educational, technical and ethical standards to our members.
The Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification differs from many other academic programmes as it combines professional exams with practical work experience. As members of our body, individuals are entitled to put the letters MIATI after their name, seen by many employers as essential when hiring. Our apprenticeship programme is also highly respected as a means by which companies of all sizes can develop and foster highly qualified, quality staff to cope with future demands.
We currently offer our Accounting Technicians Apprenticeship programme island wide. The programme is open to all qualifying employers and runs at 10 centres nationwide. To date, over 200 apprentices have successfully completed the programme and graduated, moving into full employment as high value, qualified accounting technicians. The apprenticeship offers successful graduates a QQI level 6 award on the national framework of qualifications, and ample opportunities to go on to further study, through Chartered Accountants Ireland, or any one of a number of other professional bodies should they choose.
