Lufthansa Technik Shannon Aviation Training Academy is located at Shannon Airport, Shannon, in the Mid-West of Ireland. It is an approved EASA Part 147 training school, founded in 1990, with over 29 years training experience in EASA aircraft maintenance training programmes. We have trained over 2500 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers since 1990.
The academy is located in Lufthansa Technik Shannon- aircraft maintenance facility which specialises in the provision of aircraft base maintenance services
Lufthansa Technik are a world market leader in aircraft maintenance and training. Lufthansa Technik Shannon have trained in excess of 2,500 aviation personnel who have gone on to work in every area of the aviation industry from Licensed Aircraft Engineer right up to CEO.
We are a One Stop Shop. This means that when you start your programme with us you complete everything with us and on successful completion you will be in a position to apply for your Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License.
When we started up as a new company in 1990 the Aircraft Maintenance Traineeship was the largest ever training programme ever run in Ireland and it has continued to feed highly skilled experts into the aviation sector.2,500 people have gone through our programmes since 1990.
Lufthansa Technik Shannon run Aircraft Maintenance License Traineeships with the Limerick & Clare Education & Training Board as well as the City of Dublin Education & Training Board. These programmes are designed to produce Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and on successful completion of the programme all participants will have a job.
We currently have 80 aircraft maintenance license trainees.
Our Education & Training Board Aircraft Maintenance License Trainees complete a 2 year intensive training programme by completing their EASA examinations, Workshops Skills Training, Aircraft Practical Training and on the job experience. The advantage of this programme is that on successful completion they will be able to apply for their Aircraft Maintenance License and get a job.
