Our aim is to assist companies in these industries to thrive through collaboration. |
We are a voluntary body whose sole purpose is the sustainable development of the wood using industries in Ireland to the betterment of their promoters and the communities in which they are located.
The IWFM Network aims to foster an Industry that employs 10,000 people, many located in disadvantaged areas of the country. We encourage sustainability in manufacture, excellence in craftsmanship, innovation in design and collaboration amongst our members towards ethical commercial development.
We work with GMIT Letterfrack to facilitate apprenticeships. The focus of GMIT Letterfrack and the industry is on career prospects and career progression and the move towards digitization of the industry and the internationalization of the industry with an emphasis on technical and design led projects.
Our priority is establishing the future needs of the industry and ensuring its workforce is fit for purpose.
